Market Research Society of Sri Lanka elects new Executive Committee for the year 2021-2022
At the 9th Annual General meeting of the Market Research Society of Sri Lanka (MRSSL) held recently, the outgoing president, Therica Miyanadeniya was re-elected as the president for her second term for the period 2021 to 2022. The AGM was held successfully via zoom for the first time due to the Covid pandemic.
Ms. Therica Miyanadeniya, in her acceptance speech thanked all members for the confidence placed in her to re-elect her for year 2021/22. She also pointed out how the activities of MRSSL were affected by Covid-19 and thanked the entire fraternity who strived hard to ensure the continuity of the industry, despite all the challenges posed by the pandemic. She further went on to assure the gathering that with the newly appointed executive committee, there is optimism and confidence to perform beyond expectations for the year 2022.
She ended her speech recognizing the solidarity and the bonding that the agencies have managed to forge together for a common goal and requested support to continue the same in future. She also recognized the outgoing council members for their valuable contribution.
While Therica Miyanadeniya and Sakuntha Amarasekere continue for another term as President and Secretary respectively, Suthaharan Perampalam was elected as the new Treasurer for the year, along with new committee members. The new committee plan to sphere head many initiatives this year towards the benefit of its members, the esteemed clientele, and the industry at large.
